Recycling, sustainability and integration of agriculture as art: reimagining a cultural festival

The multidisciplinary artists Pura Márquez, Nestor Torrens and Simone Marin, Festival Keroxen organizers, will present Recycling, sustainability and integration of agriculture as art: reimagining a cultural festival which will explore KEROXEN universe and show how this cultural project has managed to involve different cultural movements, becoming an inspiring agent with music as a link to experiment with different styles and favoring the coexistence between artists. In the same way, it will be explained how KEROXEN makes visual art blend with the environment that surrounds us, thus giving importance to mixing concepts and achieving a perfect setting to develop the ideas of this project which was born in an old and desused kerosene tank that is now known as Espacio Cultural El Tanque, in downtown Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands. Today, KEROXEN continues its constant creative process with the creation of the Bajamar Agrotechnology Park, an edible forest, and the construction of a greenhouse as one of many KEROXEN sound and art venues to come.
