Singer-songwriter Demetris Mesimeris has been creating music that combines urban Greek folk tradition and rebetiko music, within a modern twist of orchestration. His debut album, Eho Tou Kosmou Poiimata (I Have the World’s Poems), has gained traction in the Greek folk music scene of Cyprus. Produced by renowned Greek artist Fotis Siotas, the record is a collection of ten songs; ten poems about life, love and the concerns of each day - a journey that has love as its compass.
